repairing, AGPU (Aviation Ground Power Units), GANG (Generic Aircraft Nytrogen Generators),2KW,2KW
AAI, 5KW, 10KW, 903A and 15KW powered and motor generators containing electrical, electronic, mechanical,
pneumatic and internal combustion systems and assemblies. Wire harness repair/modifications of damaged/
missing wires for the AGPU units. I work with and assist higher grade employees. I understand the function
of, and interrelationship between, end items, components, assemblies and subassemblies. I can activate
engines/power systems to trouble shoot and diagnose units which are inoperable, not functioning properly, or

calipers, current tester, pressure gages and regulators. I repair fuel and oil leaks. I perform compression
tests replace and test fuel floats. I rebuild fuel tanks and hydrulics tanks and test. I build up radiators, install
pressure switches, sending units, solenoid, glow plug wires and attach fans to engine. I recommend solutions
formentioning issues to supervision. Currently working with AGPU (Aviation Ground Power Units) and GANG
(Generic Aircraft Nitrogen Generators). I repair and replace worn and broken parts. I get units ready for final
inspection by going over the unit and repair, replace parts as needed.I also change and replace tires for the
GANG Unit. (changing repairing rims, installing tubes and painting the rims). I use overhead hoists and cranes
on heavier items.
I use hand, air and power tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, soldering gun, tubing benders, torque wrench
and pneumatic tools and lifts. Re-fabricate generator sheet metal parts if needed. Make wiring harnesses
following diagrams, apply shrink tubing if called for, install sheet metal and output panel, solder circuits, diodes
and relays. Consult technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, guide printed on the generator
panel and previous maintenance and modification records to ensure proper assembly, troubleshooting, testing,
and repairs. I currently work with supervisors and also I work independently.
My work is performed in variety of positions which are uncomfortable and tiring and involve stretching, bending,
and stooping. I frequently lift parts and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
I use overhead hoists and cranes on heavier items and also use lift tables.
My work is performed inside or outside while inside areas are usually well lighted and heated, however, they
are subject to drafts and changing temperatures, as compared to outside work that may require occasional
exposure to inclement weather. There is frequent exposure to loud noise, dust, fumes, grease, dirt, and hard
surfaced floors in my current position, and there is possibility of cuts, burns, bruises, strains, electrical shock,
and broken bones from falls. I am required to wear protective and safety devices or clothing which may be
